In the European Project of the LIFE Program, reference LIFE 16/IP/ES/019, it is planned to carry out various actions for the recovery of the underground water mass of Medina del Campo, currently in a situation of overexploitation, through the artificial recharge of the aquifer. One of the proposed actions consists in deriving water from the Adaja system taking advantage of the existing infrastructure through the irrigation network of the Adaja River Irrigation Community.

Objeto del Contrato

IIndepro has drawn up the “PROJECT OF THE WORKS RELATED TO THE RECHARGE OF THE UNDERGROUND WATER MASS OF MEDINA DEL CAMPO BY MEANS OF DIVERSION OF WATER FROM MAGAZOS REZERVOIR (ÁVILA)", in which the recharge through natural channels is proposed, taking advantage of its infiltration capacity throughout its course, deriving water from the Magazos reservoir situated in the town of Nava de Arévalo, up to Charca de Narros, and then to exit into La Vega stream, Aloberas stream and eventually into Zapardiel river.
