Julián Navas of INDEPRO at the river restoration congress

River restoration is a key technical challenge for sustainable development. Recently, our director, Julián Navas Herranz, participated in the 5th Iberian RestauraRíos Congress 2026, held in Soria. Experts analyzed new European regulations there.

Attendance reinforces our commitment at INDEPRO. We aim to be at the forefront of this field. We exchanged visions with top-level professionals regarding ecosystem resilience. Therefore, we can continue developing technical projects that integrate sustainability. Additionally, efficient land management is fundamental to our work.

Looking towards 2030: The future of river restoration management.

During the sessions, emphasis was placed on the importance of looking towards 2030, integrating citizen participation and technology to protect our river arteries.

At INDEPRO, we understand that river restoration is a critical pillar for risk management and adaptation to climate change. The application of nature-based engineering techniques not only improves biodiversity but also increases the resilience of riverbeds against floods and droughts. Participating in events like RestauraRíos allows us to validate our working methodologies against the latest scientific standards in Europe, guaranteeing high-quality solutions in all our hydraulic and environmental consulting projects.

We would like to thank CIREF and all the organizing entities for this space for reflection and dialogue, which will undoubtedly add value to our next challenges in engineering consultancy.
