The project consists in the environmental improvement of a series of dumps, some of which are still active today, all of them located in the eastern half of the province of Avila. The purpose of this action, together with other similar ones that are being carried out across the Castilla y León region, is to comply with the management model for Construction and Demolition Waste set out in the Castilla y León Integrated Waste Plan.
Therefore, and in order to eliminate the possibility of uncontrolled waste dumping, the environmental restoration of the existing waste dumps in the Autonomous Community will be carried out, regardless of whether they are currently active or inactive. This will ensure that waste management is carried out through environmentally sustainable channels and in the appropriate facilities for this purpose.
