INDEPRO strengthens its position in Peru and Colombia following a successful international trade mission

Apoyo institucional a la misión comercial Perú y Colombia 2025 de INDEPRO

INDEPRO Consultores de Ingeniería S.L. successfully completed its participation in an international trade mission to Peru and Colombia. The initiative took place from 10 to 15 November 2025 within the International Expansion Programme for SMEs in Castile and León 2022–2025. In addition, it received support from the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castile and León (ICECYL) and the 5th Internationalisation Plan for Businesses in Castile and León 2022–2025, extended until 2027.

During the mission, INDEPRO held strategic meetings with key organisations involved in risk management and territorial planning. In Peru, meetings were held with the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (SENAMHI) and the National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI).

Meanwhile, in Colombia, meetings were held with the District Institute for Risk Management and Climate Change (IDIGER), the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) and CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Objectives and results of the Peru and Colombia trade mission

The main objective of these meetings was to establish technical and institutional partnerships for the adoption and implementation of the hydrological and hydraulic models developed by INDEPRO. Furthermore, their adaptation to the regulatory and operational frameworks of each country was analysed, together with their potential application within national and local strategies for:

  • Flood risk management
  • Hydrological and hydraulic studies and predictive models

As a result, the meetings identified specific opportunities for collaboration on projects focused on prevention, anticipation and reduction of impacts associated with extreme hydrometeorological events. Opportunities were also explored to strengthen planning and decision-making systems through advanced modelling and rigorous technical analysis.

International positioning

The positive response to INDEPRO’s technical capabilities and the interest shown by the participating institutions reinforce the company’s international positioning in Latin America. In this way, INDEPRO strengthens its role as a specialised technical partner in hydraulic engineering, risk management and sustainable solutions for territories exposed to flooding.

In addition, this international trade mission represents an important step in INDEPRO’s internationalisation strategy. The initiative opens new opportunities for joint projects and knowledge transfer in contexts of high hydrological and climatic complexity.
