Description of the Works:
The construction of a wastewater treatment plant to supply the municipality of Magaz de Pisuerga and the future industrial area is being carried out.
The purification system adopted is based on a treatment of active sludge of prolonged oxidation carousel type with nitrification – denitrification, in double treatment line, each of which has its corresponding secondary decanter.

Before the double biological reactor, there is a common pretreatment system, capable of handling the entire flow of the plant’s influent in dry weather with a 50 % safeguard and consisting of a coarse well followed by compact plants that perform the functions of screening and desanding – degreasing. The sludge line consists of a circular thickener and centrifugal dewatering.
The average design flow is 215 m3/h, obtaining a daily treatment of 5,180 m3.
